Using the “Roadworks” add-on module in the SMART platform , responsible authorities can quickly and easily enter new roadworks on the interactive map. In addition to the location and time period, details of the roadworks and detour recommendations can be added as a text field. Photos can also be uploaded to show the situation on site. The information is immediately displayed as clickable symbols on the digital map.
The digital construction site map can be embedded on the city’s official website or in a Smart City app, for example. This allows citizens to view the map and conveniently search for current construction measures in their area. They receive information on closures, detour and planned end dates.
Automatic updates hide the construction site information from the map as soon as the period has expired. Of course, construction sites can also be deleted beforehand or time periods can be easily changed.
